New discovery tool Search@LiUB (Beta) released!
On the 3rd of April the university library released a new discovery tool, Search@LiUB. Search@LiUB is built on EDS, EBSCO Discovery solution (read more about EDS on the EBSCO website), and consists of a large metadata index. Search@LiUB enables, for example, searching among journal articles and books at the same time.
This is the library’s first step towards a self-developed and LiU-integrated interface, which will be built during this year. Current search tool LiUBSearch, now running parallelly with Search@LiUB, will be wholly replaced by Search@LiUB in October.
Please observe that the released version of Search@LiUB is a beta. The university library is most thankful for feedback from users of Search@LiUB, preferably through e-mail. The beta version of Search@LiUB is, for the time being, available only in English.
More news from the library
There is no connection between the catalog and UniSearch at the moment. To see if a book is available, or to place hold on books, you can only use the catalog, which is also available on m.liu.se. The problem is being troubleshot.
The library's opening hours during the holidays can be found on the page bibl.liu.se/jul.
The link server is not performing as it should right now, which means reaching full text articles through the Get it at LiU button will take a long time at the moment. However, you can reach the articles faster by going to the journal through the library journals list.
The Art Society at Linköping University is now holding an exhibition.
