The services Linköping University Library provide for LiU researchers and teachers range all the way from scholarly material to personal support regarding publishing. Here is the information you need to get started using the library’s services. You are also welcome to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
Access to library resources
When you need a book, a journal, an article or a specific database, use UniSearch or the search box at www.bibl.liu.se to search a wide range of sources. Sign in via “My loans” to manage your loans and reservations. If you can’t find certain material within the library’s collection, place an interlibrary request. For LiU employees, all interlibrary loans within the Nordic countries are free of charge (including journal articles).
Publish and distribute
The choices you make when you are about to publish determine the distribution and impact of your work. We offer support at all stages of the publication process, for example by providing tools for journal evaluation.
With LiU Journal Inspiration, you can find the right journal for your article.
Linköping University Electronic Press (LiU E-Press) specializes in Open Access electronic publishing of PhD theses, books, and student theses, and helps you to parallel publish your articles in Digitala Vetenskapliga Arkivet (DiVA) for increased accessibility of your work. By publishing in DiVA, your work will be visible in Google and at your employee presentation at www.liu.se.
On the library website, you can also find out how to maximize the dissemination of your work through social media.
We can offer you workshops and presentations about publishing, distribution and social media.

The library conducts bibliometric analyses of LiU institutions, departments, and research groups. Contact us if you want us to give a presentation regarding issues related to bibliometrics.
Cite and refer
Using a reference management program during the writing process is the best option for fast and correct formatting of references and efficient document management. The library gives support to two such programs: Mendeley and EndNote.
Plagiarism and copyright
The library offers support and information regarding plagiarism and copyright issues. Plagiarism-check of high scientific level publications and theses can be done using Similarity Check which check against academic sources such as journal articles and the internet.
For every subject or program at LiU there is a subject librarian. We offer one-to-one consultation free of charge; you can find the “book a librarian” form at the library website. You are also welcome to book us for teaching activities in information seeking for students and personnel.
Our electronic resources can be accessed off-campus 24/7. Use your LiU-ID or our proxy bookmarklet to get access through the library website.
There are a number of apps and cloud services useful to academics. A selection is presented at the library website.
If you have any questions regarding our services, don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
